Introducing ECOBuild - Eagle County's Effecient Build Code

What is it?

The ECObuild program establishes a set of regulations and guidelines for efficient energy and material building design and construction in Eagle County, Colorado.

When did it start?

ECObuild regulations became effective on September 27, 2006. Any building permit application submitted after September 27, 2006 must include a filled out ECObuild checklist which will be checked for accuracy as part of the official field inspection.

Who does it apply to?

The ECObuild regulations apply to anyone who:
  • Is building a new home, duplex, or townhouse (residential R3 constructions) in Eagle County.
  • Has significant exterior energy uses such as snow melt, spas/hot tubs, or outdoor pools.
  • Will be making an addition to a home of over 50% of the existing floor area.
  • Will be reconstructing more than 50% of the floor area of an existing home.

Grid Feeders can help complete your ECObuild checklist AND offset the fees generated from exterior energy uses

Grid Feeders can work with you through any phase of design or construction of your project. If you are in the initial stages of development, Grid Feeders can work with you or your architect to incorporate a renewable energy system that will seamlessly integrate into the look of the home. If you have already begun construction or if the home is already completely built-out, Grid Feeders' team of engineers can custom design an energy solution that can be retrofit into any existing structure - and will look great too. Grid Feeders can help complete your ECObuild checklist AND offset the fees generated from exterior energy uses by adding a renewable energy system to your home or office.
